VPSA-O2 Plant

Large-Scale, Energy-Efficient Oxygen Production

Vacuum Pressure Swing Adsorption is an advanced gas separation technology that uses the different selectivity of adsorbents for gas molecules. PIONEER VPSA-O2 units use the proprietary PU-8 adsorbent to enrich oxygen from ambient air and supply it directly to industrial users.

PIONEER has built more than 100 VPSA-O2 plants in China, including some of the world’s largest systems. The technology combines independently developed adsorbent, airflow distribution, process engineering and mature auxiliary equipment.

Technology Brief

A VPSA-O2 system adsorbs nitrogen and other gas molecules under pressure, enriches oxygen for downstream use and regenerates the adsorbent under vacuum. The process supports continuous oxygen supply with flexible load adjustment.
